TILES And Cards
There are three types of cards: play area tiles, action cards, and items. The action cards have degrees of variability enabling both pure cooperative and game master driven play.
Harmonious Worlds uses a combination of cards and dice to simulate a real-world actions and behavior. Players move through a playing area defined by tiles then use dice and predefined character statistics to determine the outcome.
First, players agree upon what to base character, ship, and creature statistics on. For example, all player statistics could be from an existing game. Then use simple normalization equations to remap the chosen statistics to the Harmonious Worlds character attributes.
As a player moves through the playing area, tiles are turned over to reveal what action card to chose from. The player then picks up the top card from the appropriate action card stack and follows the directions on the card.
